  • December 2013 - Cooperative acquisitions of grants totaling $25,000 from charitable foundations with Kentucky ties, for the benefit of Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund (IMSFF), which were matched by GoDaddy/Bob and Renee Parsons Foundation as part of $2.5 million challenge, thereby resulting in $50,000 support of injured and wounded Marines nationwide. With these matched grants, the Marine Corps Coordinating Council of Kentucky (MCCCK) has now been responsible, either directly or indirectly, in generating over $422,750 in support of the IMSFF and its laudable mission
  • December 2013 - Continued funding of a college or university "Marine Corps Coordinating Council of Kentucky Scholarship," to be awarded annually to a worthy son or daughter of a Kentucky Marine, under the auspices of the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation (MCSF), which has been "honoring Marines by educating their children" since its inception in 1962. The Marine Corps Coordinating Council of Kentucky is proud to partner with the MCSF for the fourth consecutive year (2011-2012) (2012-2013) (2013-2014) (2014-2015) in this truly important extension of its motto "Marines Serving Marines." 
  • November 2013 - Funding support and cooperative partial sponsorship of annual Marine Corps Birthday Breakfast at Lexington, Kentucky, attended by 112 active duty, reserve and veteran Marines from throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky, who honored the legendary Drill Instructor (DI), represented by SgtMaj Daniel G. Bullock, USMC, Command Sergeant Major, Marine Corps Recruiting Station Louisville, who has previously served as a DI at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, South Carolina.
  • November 2013 - Funding support of Marine Corps Birthday celebrations hosted by the Marine Corps Recruiting Station Louisville (Louisville), Military Police "Alpha" Company (Lexington), and "Echo" Company, 4th Tank Battalion (Fort Knox).
  • November 2013 - Receipt and transfer of individual donations from Marine Corps Coordinating Council of Kentucky (MCCCK) members, totaling $60,000, to the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund (IMSFF) in response to a challenge issued by Thomas E. Bulleit, Jr., a former Navy corpsman, who served with Marines during the Vietnam War, as a tribute to MCCCK Chairman, James E. (Ted) Bassett III
  •  September 2013 - Provided promotional support of Marine Corps Leadership Seminar held at University of Louisville, Louisville, Kentucky for students, faculty, corporate executives, etc., seeking knowledge of Marine Corps strategies and techniques in developing leadership, tenacity and teamwork. Keynote speaker at opening session was Marine Corps Coordinating Council of Kentucky (MCCCK) member MajGen Richard A. Huck, USMC (Ret).
  • September 2013 - Provided hospitable support of Marine Corps veterans gathering in Louisville, Kentucky for 25th Annual Reunion of Lima Company, 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division (Vietnam War), furnishing hotel hospitality room supplies and welcoming them and their families to Kentucky on behalf of all Kentucky Marines. Marine Corps color guard at memorial service held at Kentucky Vietnam War Memorial, Frankfort, Kentucky, was provided by Military Police Company A, Lexington, Kentucky.
  • August 2013 - Provided behind-the-scene logistical and planning support to Kentucky State Treasurer for ceremonial return of military medals, ribbons, and Marine Corps uniform accoutrements to surviving family of World War II veteran, who served as an aide to legendary General Roy S. Geiger, USMC, during Asiatic - Pacific campaign and accompanied latter in his capacity as official representative of Marine Corps at Japanese surrender ceremony on September 2, 1945, aboard USS Missouri in Tokyo Bay. Medals, ribbons and USMC accoutrements were recovered from unclaimed bank safe deposit box by Kentucky State Treasurer and returned to family as part of ongoing program to ensure that abandoned items of value are returned to families, whenever possible.
  • June 2013 - Provided logistical and administrative support for Marine Corps Heritage Foundation function at Louisville, Kentucky, hosted by Mr. and Mrs. David A. Jones, on behalf of the National Museum of the Marine Corps, through which significant funding was obtained for the planned expansion of exhibits, to include post-Vietnam War history of the U.S. Marine Corps, with particular emphasis on the Global War on Terror.
  • May 2013 - Facilitated a dedicated grant from MCCCK members for the renovation of a rifle range at Jeffersontown High School, Jeffersontown, Kentucky, used by the Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (MCJROTC).
  • May 2013 - Facilitated the memorial donation of rare Marine Corps historical books from the private library of the late Maj Frank B. Hower, Jr., USMCR, to the Library of the Marine Corps, Quantico, Virginia, where they will support the research and study of both students and faculty of the Marine Corps University.
  • May 2013 - Facilitated the acquisition and transfer of $1,500 grant from the Bluegrass Military Affairs Coalition (BMAC) to care for Marine Corps "wounded warriors," through the humanitarian services of the Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund (IMSFF), which has been adopted by the Marine Corps Coordinating Council of Kentucky (MCCCK), as its only national Marine Corps related charity not requiring a Kentucky connection.
  • May 2013 - Funding support of Louisville Armed Forces Committee (LAFC) Annual Armed Forces Day Dinner at Louisville, Kentucky, during which local military personnel of all our armed forces are recognized and honored for individual achievements associated with their service.  Complimentary dinners were provided to Marine Corps League, Kentuckiana Detachment; Montford Point Marine Association, Louisville Chapter; and Women Marines Association (Louisville Chapter); as well as sponsorship of Patriot Award for Louisville area "Marine of the Year."
  • May 2013 - Funding support of Bluegrass Military Affairs Coalition (BMAC) Annual Armed Forces Day Event at Lexington, Kentucky, during which local military personnel of all our armed forces are recognized and honored for individual achievements associated with their service. Complimentary dinners are provided to local military personnel and spouses through corporate, civilian and veterans' sponsorships.
  • May 2013 - Funding support of academic scholarship established by Marine Corps Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (MCJROTC), Seneca High School, Louisville, Kentucky, in memory of LCpl Robert A. Lynch, USMC, Seneca High School, MCJROTC alumnus killed in action on July 24, 2007 in Iraq.
  • May 2013 - Partnered with Montford Point Marine Association in providing support of a Marine Corps officer candidate in need of exigent short-term financial assistance associated with officer candidate training.
  • April 2013 - Funding support of Officer Selection Teams (Lexington)(Cincinnati), MCRSL, sponsored and hosted Colonel "Rich" Higgins Memorial Mess Night, major officer candidate recruiting effort focusing on regional colleges and universities, to include food, beverages, and awards, primarily through individual member participation and generosity of those unable to attend, as well as dedicated award sponsorships.
  • March 2013 - Funding support of the Montford Point Marine Association, Chapter #22, Louisville, Kentucky, Covington - Hagan Scholarships, awarded annually to deserving college bound African - American students.
  • March 2013 - Partnered with Montford Point Marine Association in providing support of a Marine Corps officer candidate in need of exigent short-term financial assistance associated with officer candidate training.
